BlackBerry Limited (NYSE: BB) revealed the measures to further coordinate the business activities and go-to-market endeavors to its key market possibilities as well as reinforce its management team. The recent announcement is followed by the earlier announcement of the firm to independently disclose revenues of its operating business units in the new fiscal year.

The firm disclosed that its main priority for the fiscal year 2021 is software and service growth. The firm will organize two new business units including IoT and Cybersecurity. Furthermore, BlackBerry has elevated the status of President Tom Eacobacci to BlackBerry President and COO. Eacobacci will also act as Acting General Manager of the Cyber Security business unit. BlackBerry is also elevating the status of Mattias Eriksson as President and General Manager of the newly-established BB IoT business unit. Eriksson will serve the firm with over two decades of experience in automotive location data services, mobile communications, and embedded software.
