Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR) has partnered with Türk Telekom Group, the prominent telecom Operator in Turkey. Both the firms joined forces to speed up innovation and backing up Open RAN (Open Radio Access Network) 5G ecosystem.

The revolutionary collaboration with Türk Telekom will open a new path of innovations for Juniper Networks. As per the partnership contract, the unit of Türk Telekom Netsia will assign the Radio Intelligent Controller (RIC) Technology to Juniper. Not only will the firm move its RIC Technology to JNPR but also give its associated source code & patent rights along with proprietary rights to build & sell products and solutions that incorporate with RIC.

This transfer of RIC technology from Netsia to Juniper will reinforce the Open RAN 5G ecosystem expertise of Juniper. The deal also includes the promise of Türk Telekom to acquire the various products and technologies of JNPR to provide back up to its Open RAN 5G rollout. It also includes a primary pilot project which is scheduled to take place in late 2021. It will integrate the RIC technology and the wider portfolio of Juniper.

In the past 52-weeks of trading, the share of Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE: JNPR) fluctuated between the low range of $15.20 and a high range of $26.49. Its share moved up 56.64% from its 52-weeks low and moved down -10.11% from its 52-weeks high. This company has Return on Assets, Equity, and Investment of 4.50%, 8.80%, and 5.70%, respectively. Juniper Networks has a total market capitalization of $7.86 billion at the time of writing.

This new collaboration will be helpful for JNPR as Netsia is the leader in Open RAN and 5G. Not only this but also Netsia 4G and 5G RIC is in the innovative phase of expansion after around five years of thorough study and development. The firm has also finalized series of pilot projects with leading service suppliers across the globe.
