Kaman Corporation (NYSE: KAMN) disclosed that its unit Kaman Air Vehicles has signed a purchase agreement. As per the agreement, Kaman Air Vehicles will deliver the K-MAX Helicopter. The order receipt showed that the firm will deliver a medium-to-heavy lift helicopter.  The firm has delivered third K-MAX aircraft in the last two quarters.

The K-MAX is a robust, low-maintenance aircraft that includes a counter-rotating rotor system. It has been elevated for repetitive external load operations. The aircraft can carry up to 6,000 pounds (2,722 kg) with unprecedented performance under various circumstances.

Kaman Corporation is now experiencing the huge demands of its aircraft in the various markets. The repetitive lift mission capability of the K-MAX will provide benefit to the various operators and industry. K-MAX’s Unnamed aerial system is now improved and will continue to improve. The firm disclosed that it is anticipating commencing ground and flight tests of its Piloted vehicle module in the first half of 2021.

Kaman has continued its struggle to provide the best experience to its increasing customer base by providing the Commercial Optionally Piloted Aircraft. It is also working with U.S Marine Corps on modernizing the autonomous functionality of the unmanned K-MAX.
